Wedding planner in Tuscany at San Galgano Abbey
When Sarah & Chris first called me from the States, they were excited but totally overwhelmed. Planning a wedding in Tuscany without speaking Italian? Let’s just say Google Translate wasn’t going to cut it.
So I jumped in turned scary taxes and hidden fees into a simple spreadsheet, negotiated with vendors in Italian, and helped them narrow down the hundreds of venue options to the one that felt like theirs. Watching their relief turn into excitement was the best part of the journey.
On the big day, my mission was simple: they celebrate, I manage the stress. And it worked. Every little detail flowed, guests were wowed, and I even slipped in a few surprises they hadn’t expected.
By the end of the night, they told me it was “beyond what we imagined.” For me, that’s the magic taking chaos off their shoulders so all they feel is love, joy, and a little Italian sparkle.
Words from Sarah & Chris
Cristina is absolutely a non negotiable when planning a wedding in Italy. My husband and I are from the States and naively thought we could plan an international wedding ourselves. Well, it took no time at all to realize we were in over our heads, especially with a wedding in another country where we don’t speak the language. We contacted a few planners but after comparing them all we went with Cristina, and we are so glad that we did. What stood out from the beginning was her background working in finance. She was very intentional with our budget and went out of her way to negotiate on our behalf in Italian (a lot of vendors don’t speak English) and simplified Italian taxes, currency conversion fees, and licenses for us. Had we not had her we would have been lost with all those little expenses we didn’t think to research in addition to the actual planning. Cristina put everything in a spreadsheet and kept it all transparent throughout the process of cost comparison with vendors and packages.
Cristina also knows a lot of the best venues and vendors in Italy so there is an added benefit of her having great working relationships with the locals. She sends tons of information of all the choices and has visual presentations to simplify all the options based on what you’re looking for. This was a huge help with picking a location because that decides so much about the rest of your wedding, and we were paralyzed with options prior to working with Cristina.
On top of making logistics simpler and networking with the vendors on our behalf, Cristina was AMAZING the day of. Our wedding could not have gone better. I never once worried about a single detail day of. It was all taken care of and beyond what I asked for. There were details I didn’t even have to pay for that Cristina went out of her way to add to our wedding or had negotiated from the vendors. She really cares.
Everyone in our wedding party of 52 people were so impressed and it really is because of Cristina at Italian Allegria. I was in a few Facebook Italian Bride pages and saw many brides complain of their disappointment with their planners. I’m not sure if it’s an issue of America’s wedding industry having different expectations but I had zero issues, and I’m a pretty particular. I have shared her information with anyone who asks me details of my wedding and will continue to recommend her especially to brides unfamiliar with Italy like we were. Thank you again for making our wedding an unreal experience with the warmest memories. If you’re newly engaged and overwhelmed at the start of planning, just go ahead and book Cristina 🙂
