Everybody knows the most famous Federico Fellini movie: La Dolcevita. It became a neologism, a word describing the best of life all over the world, but especially in Italy.
Not everybody knows that the movie also created a neologism in fashion: the sweater worn by the protagonist of the film, the charming Marcello Mastroianni, has since been known by everyone as a “dolcevita” and worn by the sexiest men.
Rome = Dolcevita, everybody knows. If you want to walk on Fellini’s path then you shall visit Emilia-Romagna too. The coast between Rimini and Riccione in summer turns into one of the funniest night areas of Italy. You can’t choose where to eat, dance or meet people….while the sea isn’t the best offer, still, the beach services are the top offer. Visit that area and you’ll get a preview of the future beach-club service around the world.
Fellini’s ghost can be found in Rimini – a city that clutches his legacy close. Visit the Fellini museum and explore his career via drawings and costumes – as well as celebrations of his movies.
If you decide to enjoy the Emilia-Romagna Dolcevita don’t’ forget visiting Bologna and Parma, and the hills and vineyards in between.
