From New York to Mexico City, Dolce & Gabbana are Italian tailoring ambassadors

Starting in New York, on to Miami and finally Mexico City, these are the culture and fashion places conquered by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and where this all Italian fashion house has shown its uniqueness. Their Alta Sartorial collection is perfectly shaped for this changing world, full of facets mixing traditional brand codes with Millennial Generation originality.

On April 6th for three intense days extraordinary fashion and celebrity performances entertained customers and buyers in a mini fashion week in unusual places in NY.

Even the doors of the Public Library opened for the first time to this creative duo and were the setting for unique high quality jewellery pieces.

On the second evening, the Rainbow Room at the Empire State Building was the stage for contemporary clothes and a performance of Liza Minnelli. Her evergreen Cabaret was the soundtrack and setting for mixing streetwear and advanced clothing.

Third evening at the Metropolitan Opera House – showed a retrospective of Alta Moda’s creations from 2012 to present. Between dinner, theatrical sets and fashion shows of lemons from Sorrento, Madonnas and cannoli, Isabella Rossellini -honorary hostess of the evening – commented that “in Dolce & Gabbana’s fashion there is no limit to freedom. It is proof of the value of immigration: joy, elegance and humor “.

The tour of America continued in the Design District of Miami where the two designers organized a big couture show to celebrate the inauguration of a new boutique. Designed by Gwenael Nicolas of the Curiosity studio, the 2 floor store is paying tribute to the “Teatro alla Scala” in Milan, one of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana favorite places.

Finally, the great Dolce & Gabbana tour saw its epilogue in the setting of the Soumaya Museum in Mexico City. Among Rodin sculptures, supported by their beloved friend Sophia Loren, the two top designers have shown a brand new double collection of Haute Couture and High Jewellery.

The realization of this dream was possible thanks to the work of the haute couture studio in Milan. 60 unique artisans’ seamstresses, the real heart of the unique talent of two Italian stylistic talents.
